There aren’t enough timely, local resources for accurate, fact-based local news in Marysville and Union County.
Marysville Matters aspires to change that.
If you get depressed doom-scrolling through the childish behavior on Facebook groups and just want to know what is happening in the City of Marysville, this publication might be for you.
If you want to hear the positive news about our community, along with the important information that adds to our quality of life, this publication may be for you.
If you are busy and don’t have time to dig, I aspire to give you a “radio news” style update that you will find helpful and make you a more informed citizen.
And I’ll give it to you in simple, everyday English and with appropriate context.

Who is behind Marysville Matters?
As a former broadcast news director and editor, I miss the days of being able to tune into the local news to find out what is happening in town. And I enjoy writing in quick, broadcast style language to help people keep up with the little things and the big things around them.
This Substack is an experiment in the future of local news. I’ll be collecting things about Marysville, Ohio and Union County that I can find online from public sources.
My goal is to let you know what is happening in your community, without an agenda.
No politics.
No snark.
Just objective information about your community.
I’ll leave it to you to form an opinion.
